Character Summary: Kitsune by nature, general cantankerous old woman by choice. Which, given her appearance of a rather attractive woman in her twenties, can throw people off. Keiko is just a little over 150 years old. She is the fourth kitsune born into the Fujita family (their history going back over a thousand years), and will inherit the title of guardian once the current "Grandmother" steps down. It was Grandmother who all but banished Keiko to the states thirty years ago to broaden her horizons (re: learn how to make money to replenish the family fortune).

Keiko has been working as an accountant for the last fifteen years, moving from city to city and eventually settling in New Orleans, making it her home for the past several years. After all, the trick to making money is knowing how to manage it and what better way to practice than with another man's money? She's clever, never missing a detail or a decimal point, and knows exactly how to get the most out of a dollar.

She passes off as human easily enough, as she's something of an expert when it comes to hiding her tail beneath a skirt.
