Character Name: Charles Barr; "Chance"

Character Type: Lukoi

Character Summary: Chance was raised to the age of 15 in the 9th Ward, with all the luxuries that implies. That a bottom rung sub in the Lazarus is such a step up says something about his pre-infection lifestyle. Even when young, he was something of a social chameleon, blending as best he could. Now he's kinda stuck with more than a few of the mannerisms of his youth, though tempered by his attempted emulation of Damien or whatever other dominant he's decided is "cool". He is seeking some kind of place in the world but is stuck on trying to be something/someone he's not as the way to find that place.

Chance is posessed of the somewhat vacant good looks most commonly associated with pro surfers. Slim to the point of looking underfed, which he often is by lukoi standards, his moderate height is somewhat exaggerated. He has tried many times to grow facial hair, always with disastrous results though currently maintains a cleanshaven appearance. His blonde locks are close cropped after an unfortunate "deadlock" incident he prefers not to talk about. The lean and hungry look becomes even more pronounced as a wolf. His coat is a fine mottled grey and brown, his frame is most gently described as rangy.

In day to day life Chance passes as one of the mass of early twenty-something wastrels clogging the malls and downtown strips of America. He's usually employed in some dead-end position in the same locale, until getting fired for passing on his discount to some hot girl. He lacks both drive and likely capability to do much more though he certainly has the time under his belt to go for a managerial track if he cared to. Such is however unlikely, as with most of his generation he feels he's destined for "better things", not that he has a clue what those would be.

In the pack hierarchy he really doesn't rank, however he does fill an odd role of leader/rabble rouser amoungst the subs of the pack. This isn't due to any real leadership ability or native strength so much as he decides to do something and the other subs then decide it must be okay to do so unless Chance gets reprimanded. He'd call it being a trendsetter; most of the dominants call it testing their patience.
